Professional Development

According to the American Library Association, “Continuous learning is critical to renewing the expertise and skills needed to assist patrons in this information age. Library workers must continually expand their knowledge in order to keep up with the rate of change.” 

SELS/SELCO supports library staff professional development as one of its core services and provides scholarships to library staff who are pursuing continuing education or attending conferences.
